If, on the other hand, you have forgotten the password to access your account on Windows XP, you can reset it by accessing an administrator account (different from yours, of course, if the one you usually use also belongs to the same category) from the same computer and putting the steps into practice. just seen above, taking care to select the correct username from the list of those displayed on the control panel screen.
Change password on Mac
I use a Mac and you don't know how to change the password associated with your user account on your computer? So, to start with, click on the icon System preference you find on the Dock bar (or in Launchpad), select the icon Users and Groups in the window you see appearing on the desktop and make sure your username is selected from the sidebar on the left (and if not, act accordingly).

Then press the button Unlock at the top right, type the password for your account and press on Authentic. Now click on the field located next to the item Password and fill in the fields on the screen by typing your current password and the new one you intend to use for two consecutive times, then click on the button Change appeared at the top right of the on-screen box to confirm and apply the changes.
If you can't change your user account password because you don't remember it and want to change it, first restart your computer while holding down the key SHIFT on the keyboard.
