Control Panel
If you intend to change the Fastweb password by acting on the combination through which you can access the modem configuration panel, the first thing you need to do is log in to it. To do this, open the web browser you prefer and connect to the address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 in order to access the control panel of the router.
If you are unable to connect to the modem control panel using the addresses I have just indicated, you can easily find out which are the right "coordinates" by following the instructions below.
If you are using a Windows PC, press the key combination Win+R on the PC keyboard to call up the panel Esegui ... (the Win key is the one with the Windows flag on it) and type the command cmd. Once this is done, press Submit to start the Command Prompt and, in the window that opens, type ipconfig. To finish, press the button once more Submit and you will find the address you need next to the item Default gateway.
If you are using Mac OS X go to System preference by clicking on the gear icon located in the bar Dock. In the window that opens, click on the icon Network and select the name of the connection in use (eg. Wi-Fi) from the left sidebar. Finally, press the button Advanced located at the bottom right, select the tab TCP / IP and you will find the address you need next to the item Router.

After displaying the login screen of the modem configuration panel, enter the required login data and then press the button Submit on your computer keyboard.
In most cases the combination to use to access the modem control panel is admin / admin o admin / password but there are situations where you need to use other settings. If so, you can take a further look at the modem user manual to find out the right combination to use. If you have difficulty in identifying the username and password of the modem you can consult my tutorial on how to find out the modem password.
Once accessed, bearing in the section admin, User Management or Advanced Settings (the items may vary depending on the type of router in use) then select the option through which you can change the Fastweb password.
Now fill in the fields displayed on the screen, taking care to type the old password first and then the new one, then click on the button OK, Apply, Save or Change Password in order to confirm the application of the changes.
Now that you have finally managed to change Fastweb password by acting on the control panel of your modem I can not help but congratulate you. Do not forget, however, that starting from this moment in order to access the modem control panel you will have to use the new password and no longer the one previously set.
WiFi
If you intend to change the Fastweb password by intervening on the Wi-Fi network generated by your modem, the first thing you need to do is open your favorite browser and connect to the address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 to access the router control panel. If you have any problems you can follow the procedure that I have already given you in the previous lines.
After displaying the access screen to the modem configuration panel, enter the required data and then press the button Submit on your computer keyboard.
Once logged in, go to the section of the panel dedicated to wireless network configuration and look for the field for changing the key WEP / WPA.
Now set the type of key to be used on the modem on WPA2-AES or on WPA-PSK and type in the password you want to use to protect your Wi-Fi network.
I suggest you set a password of at least 20 characters consisting of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters in such a way as to be difficult to find by other users.
To save the changes made, click on the button Apply or on the button Save.
Now that you have finally managed to change the Fastweb password to connect via Wi-Fi with your modem, all you have to do is replace the password saved on your computer to surf the net with the one currently in use, in a few moments you should be able to log in. to the Internet.
If you are an old-fashioned subscriber, keep in mind that to change the Fastweb password by acting on the wireless network of your modem, the procedure I have just indicated may not prove effective. In fact, on older Fastweb modems, the user does not have much possibility to intervene and modify the parameters relating to it to his liking. However, it is possible to make some changes to the modem settings from MyFastPage.
To change Fastweb password through MyFastPage click here to connect to the Fastweb website and then press the button Log in that you find located in the upper right part of the Web page displayed. If necessary, enter the required login data.
Once this is done presses on the voice Subscription located at the top left, scroll through the new web page displayed until you find the section Configurations and then click on the WiFi configuration button.
At this point he presses on the voice Click here attached under the inscription Configure Wi-Fi then click on the button generate code present next to the field corresponding to the item Chiave di Sicurezza, take note of the new password generated and then press the button Confirmation.

Customer area
If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding how to change the Fastweb password by acting on the access key you usually use to access MyFastPage, the first operation you need to do is to access the online customer area of the famous manager. In the new screen that will open at this point, type the password currently in use to access the Fastweb customer area in the field below the item Old password:, enter the new access key you want to use in the field below the item New Password*: and confirm the chosen password by typing it again in the field below the item Confirm password:. To complete the procedure by which to change Fastweb password and to apply the changes made, click on the yellow button Confirm and send data placed at the bottom.
